Turkish Natural Language Processing Engineer
Turkish is agglutinative, morphologically rich and vowel-harmonic, and a single root can generate hundreds of surface forms. That is why models trained predominantly on English underperform on Turkish. You close that gap for client systems and for Corpshore's own delivery.
What you will do
- Build and fine tune models for Turkish and multilingual tasks
- Handle tokenisation that does not shred agglutinated forms, stemming, vowel harmony and locale casing
- Build retrieval-grounded systems for Turkish knowledge bases
- Evaluate on test sets that reflect real usage rather than translated English benchmarks
- Work with the annotation operation to specify the data you actually need
What you bring
- At least four years in NLP, machine learning or applied AI engineering
- Demonstrable work on Turkish or another morphologically rich language
- Strong Python and practical experience fine tuning transformer models
- Turkish at C2 (a hard requirement) and English at C1
Nice to have
- Publication or open source contribution in Turkish NLP
- Postgraduate study in computational linguistics or a related field
- Experience with speech and another Turkic language
